Boundary Assistant
The Union is looking for enthusiastic and customer focused Boundary Assistants to join our bar team. Based in our student bar, this role is central to delivering a welcoming, safe, and high-quality hospitality experience for students, staff, and visitors.
As a Boundary Assistant, you will prepare and serve a range of drinks and hot food, provide excellent customer service, and support the delivery of a varied programme of events. Working as part of a friendly and fast paced team, you will help ensure high standards of service, safety, and professionalism across all shifts, including some of the Union’s biggest and busiest events.
This is a great opportunity for students looking to gain experience in hospitality, bar work, a professional kitchen, and events within a vibrant Students’ Union environment.

Salary: £14.24 per hour (including holiday pay) – paid monthly
Contract: 8-month zero hours
Hours: Approximately 8+ hours per week
Location: The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University
Eligibility: Eligible to work in the UK and a MMU student for the academic year 2026/27
