Education Development Lead
We are seeking an Education Development Lead to plan, manage and evaluate educational co‑creation activity that strengthens students’ sense of course belonging. Working at the heart of our academic communities, you will develop and sustain effective consultative and representative systems that ensure student voices are heard, valued and acted upon.
This role plays a key part in delivering inclusive, collaborative academic representation processes. You will support course representatives, work closely with University and Students’ Union colleagues, and help create strong educational communities where students actively shape their learning experience.
About you
You will bring experience of working with students, volunteers, or representative structures in an educational or membership‑led environment, along with:
- A strong understanding of student engagement, partnership working and co‑creation.
- Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills.
- Experience designing or delivering training, support or development programmes.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver initiatives that evidence impact.
- A proactive, collaborative approach and a commitment to student empowerment and inclusion.

Salary: Grade A - £26,978 to £29,663
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University
Eligibility: Eligible to work in the UK
