Engagement Assistant
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact on students’ academic experience, helping to strengthen representation, build communities, and ensure students’ voices are heard where it matters most.
The Engagement Assistant will help deliver targeted faculty engagement plans that strengthen students’ connection to Union activity. The role focuses on building academic communities that support belonging, representation, and co-creation of the on-course experience through effective Course Rep systems and co-curricular activity.
Working closely with Union officers, staff, and faculty colleagues, you will support students to have a meaningful voice in their education and help shape positive academic experiences.

Salary: Point 2: £24,633 (£20,527 pro rata for 10 months)
Contract: 10 months (3rd August 2026 to 7th June 2026 - 44 weeks)
Hours: 37 hours per week
Location: The Union, Manchester Metropolitan University
Eligibility: Eligible to work in the UK and a MMU student on a placement year
